23 ABRIL | AÇÃO DE VOLUNTARIADO dos GUARDIÕES DA SERRA DA ESTRELA - Vale da Amoreira (Manteigas)
[PT] No próximo dia 23 de abril (domingo), entre as 9h00 e as 15h00, venha participar numa ação de voluntariado para ajudar a natureza a recuperar e a devolver a capacidade produtiva de uma propriedade afetada pelos incêndios do verão passado no Vale de Amoreira criando uma floresta frutífera em socalcos.
Esta é a 2ª ação de voluntariado que realizamos no âmbito do nosso projeto "Renascer de dentro para fora", cujo objetivo é ajudar os proprietários a recuperar as suas propriedades, fortemente afetadas pelos incêndios. Sabemos que não conseguimos ajudar em todos os locais que necessitam, mas conseguimos ajudar pontualmente a construir ilhas de biodiversidade num mundo queimado, que depois começarão a expandir-se.
Utilizando a fantástica exposição solar e rentabilizando o declive do terreno para utilização de rega por gravidade, vamos transformar pequenos patamares pré-existentes, em pequenas áreas com enorme potencial produtivo para agrofloresta, o que vai permitir a estes proprietários rumar ao seu “sonho original" de “viver da terra”, obtendo assim um complemento de rendimento. Além disto, esta intervenção vai enriquecer este terreno que agora se encontra empobrecido, quer em matéria orgânica, quer em biodiversidade, com a plantação de árvores de fruto, arbustos de bagas e ervas aromáticas que irão alimentar variadas espécies de fauna, incluindo abelhas e outros polinizadores.
Toda a ação terá como base a premissa “Fazer bem”, o que representa fazer o necessário para garantir o sucesso absoluto desta intervenção, que inclui a instalação de irrigação gota-a-gota, adubação e plantação.
Sem a força dos voluntários não conseguiremos realizar este projeto, pelo que seria excelente poder contar com o vosso apoio, nesta missão que é a de todos.

Destinatários: Atividade aberta a toda a comunidade com mais de 15 anos e sem dificuldade de mobilidade, pois o terreno é inclinado e pedregoso. Menores de 18 anos deverão ser acompanhados por adulto responsável.
Material Necessário: Vestuário e calçado adequado às condições climatéricas e a trabalho de campo (p.ex: luvas de trabalho e botas de campo, chapéu de sol, protector solar), água e merenda, nós oferecemos almoço que respeita as restrições alimentares dos voluntários.
Caso tenha traga ferramentas de trabalho como enxadas, sachos e sacholas.

On the 23rd of April (Sunday), between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, come and join us in a volunteer action to help nature recover and restore the productive capacity of a property affected by the last summer fires in Vale de Amoreira, creating a fruitful forest on terraces.
This is the 2nd volunteer action that we carry out within the scope of our "Reborn from the inside out" project, whose objective is to help property owners recover their properties, which were heavily affected by the fires. We know that we can't help in all the places that need it, but we can occasionally help build islands of biodiversity in a burned world, which will then begin to expand.
Using the fantastic sun exposure and making the most of the slope of the land for the use of gravity irrigation, we will transform small pre-existing levels into small areas with enormous productive potential for agroforestry, which will allow these owners to pursue their “original dream” of “living off the land”, thus obtaining a supplementary income. In addition, this intervention will enrich this land that is now impoverished, both in terms of organic matter and biodiversity, with the planting of fruit trees, berry bushes and aromatic herbs that will feed various species of fauna, including bees and other pollinators.
The whole action will be based on the premise “Do it well”, which means doing what is necessary to guarantee the absolute success of this intervention, which includes the installation of drip irrigation, fertilization and planting.
Without the strength of the volunteers, we will not be able to carry out this project, so it would be excellent to be able to count on your support, in this mission that is everyone's.

Recipients: Activity open to the entire community over 15 years old and without mobility difficulties, as the terrain is inclined and stony. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Required Material: Clothing and footwear suitable for weather conditions and field work (eg: work gloves and field boots, sun hat, sunscreen), water and lunch, we offer lunch that respects the volunteers' dietary restrictions .
If you have, bring work tools, such as hoes and sachollas.
