Objetivo: Apoiar a reflorestação ou recondução de espécies autóctones, em pequenas propriedades privadas de vocação florestal ou agrícola, para a criação de ilhas de biodiversidade dentro do PNSE.
Destinatários: Proprietários de terrenos no PNSE afetados no incêndio de Agosto de 2022.

Descritivo
O incêndio de Agosto de 2022 destruiu uma área significativa do PNSE afectando zonas mais selvagens mas também zonas exploradas/habitadas em áreas próximas de aldeias.
Consideramos de extrema importância a regeneração ambiental/ecológica das áreas afectadas com o objetivo de recuperar o património vegetal ardido, introduzir espécies autóctones devidamente adaptadas à área e contribuir para a estabilização dos solos ardidos.
A reflorestação de 22000 hectares é uma tarefa hercúlea e sabendo que os habitantes destas zonas são quem terá um dos papéis mais importantes nesta recuperação, foi elaborado este projecto cujo objectivo é disponibilizar material e equipa de voluntários a proprietários que viram os seus terrenos arder.
Ao efetuar acções de reflorestação em áreas limitadas com diversidade de plantas (arbustivas, árvores de fruto, etc) e em terrenos privados tratados (com proprietário conhecido e que garanta a manutenção do trabalho efectuado) acreditamos que essas “bolsas” podem funcionar como sementes e propagar a recuperação do território ao tornarem-se exemplos de boas práticas e de uma reflorestação sustentável.

Critérios de seleção:
Considerando a área afectada e o número elevado de interessados torna-se necessário estabelecer critérios bem definidos para a seleção dos proprietários, deste modo e para ta,l serão considerados e avaliados ,entre outros, os seguintes aspectos:
Propriedade bem definida com conhecimento claro dos seus limites;
Preferência por propriedades cuidadas, idealmente com os proprietários a residir nas proximidades;
Existência de plano de ordenamento/recuperação do terreno por parte do proprietário;
Uso múltiplo do terreno (agricultura, pastoreio, apicultura,etc.).

Pilot interventions for sustainable landscape (small-size landowners)

Project objectives: Support small-size landowners, in the process of reforestation and reorganization of their land, whether it is for forest or agricultural use, hence contributing to the design of a more resilient landscape through the creation of islands of biodiversity.

Description
The fire of August 2022 destroyed a significant area of the PNSE affecting wilder areas but also inhabited/explored areas surrounding villages.
We consider the environmental/ecological regeneration of the affected areas of extreme importance with the purpose of recuperating the burned vegetable heritage, introducing local species adapted to the area and contributing to the stabilization of the burned soil.
The reforestation of 22000 hectares is an enormous task and knowing that the inhabitants of these areas are the people who will have the most important role in this recovery, this project was made with the purpose of making materials and teams of volunteers available to those who saw their lands burn.
By doing reforestation actions in limited areas with a diversity of plants (bushes, fruit trees, etc.), in private care properties (with a known owner that guarantees the maintenance of the work made) we believe that these “pockets” can work as seeds and spread the recuperation of the territory by becoming examples of good practices and of sustainable reforestation.

Support actions for the implementation of soil stabilization techniques and preparation for reforestation

Support actions for planting and reforestation
Support actions for invasive plants control
Selection criteria:
Considering the affected area and the high number of people interested, it becomes necessary to establish well-defined criteria for the selection of the land-owners, therefore it will be considered and evaluated, amongst others, the following aspects:
Well-defined properties with clear knowledge of their limits;
Preference for well cared properties, ideally with the owners living in the proximities;
Existence of a recuperation project of the land, by the owner;
Multiple use of the land (farming, beekeeping, sheep herding, etc.)
